द्विसप्तकोटिभुजैर्धृतखरकरवाले
के बोले मा तुमी अबले
बहुबलधारिणीं नमामि तारिणीं
रिपुदलवारिणीं मातरम् ॥

sapta-koṭi-kaṇṭha-kalakala-nināda-karāle dvi-sapta-koṭi-bhujair-dhṛta-khara-karavāle ke bole mā tumi abale bahu-bala-dhāriṇīṃ namāmi tāriṇīṃ ripu-dala-vāriṇīṃ mātaram || vande mātaram ||
O Mother, terrible with the clamorous sound of seventy million throats, with twice seventy million arms holding sharp weapons — who says, Mother, that you are weak? I bow to you, bearer of great strength, saviouress, destroyer of hostile forces. Vande Mātaram.
